Pay: $45,000 to $50,000 per year

We want YOU to join our team! We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Fulltime Food & Beverage Supervisor.  You will be part of the supervisory team and will ensure a high standard of member and guest service. You will lead from the front, being visible on the floor, interacting with all members and their guests.

Islington Golf Club is a private club founded in 1923, during the "Golden Age" of golf course construction. In 2019, we were awarded Club of the Year by the Canadian Managers Association of Canada. In 2022, we were privileged to host the practice facilities for the RBC Canadian Open. In 2023, we celebrated our 100th anniversary!

What you bring:

  • Minimum 3 of years’ experience as a supervisor or Team Lead in a food and beverage service area
  • Smart Serve Certificate
  • Diploma/Certificate in Hospitality Management program
  • Experience with Jonas POS
  • Knowledge of food and wine
  • Hands-on individual with experience working in both a fine dining and casual restaurant bar environment
  • Background in training and development
  • Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills
  • Flexibility in work schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining composure
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • A passion for food, beverage and service is a must

What you will do:

  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, motivating, and disciplining employees
  • Ensure staff are working together as a team to guarantee excellent service
  • Inspect and assist in completing opening and closing duties for food and beverage service areas
  • Monitor dining areas for seating availability, service, safety and wellbeing of Members and their guests
  • Serve as a role model and first point of contact for employees
  • Develop and maintain a positive working environment with others
  • Ensure quality expectations and standards are identified, recommended, develop and implement new ways to increase organizational productivity
  • Other duties as required
